The Maharashtra Public Service commission is a department which is created by the government of India. They conduct examination to select candidates for civil services exams in the state of Maharashtra. They select candidates according to the merit  and the rules of reservation. The head office of Maharashtra Public Service Commission is situated in Mumbai,Maharashtra. They provide smooth and good to the government of Maharashtra by providing capable candidates for various government post in the state. The current chairman of the MPSC is Shri V.N More. The commission consist of a chairman and 4 members.  There function is to conduct examination to the service of the state government and its designated organisations. They advise the government in the matters related to the compensation for the employees,if any harm caused to them while working.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA(QUALIFICATION)

Nationality: Candidates applying must be a citizen of India.

FOR FOOD SECURITY OFFICER: Candidates applying for this post must have a degree in  Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology or Agriculture Science. The trades acceptable equally with these are the Veterinary Sciences, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology or the Masters Degree in Chemistry or Medicine.

ASSISTANT ENGINEER: Candidates who are applying for this post must have completed there B.Tech from recognized university/board.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: Candidates applying for this post must posses master degree in trade with eight years experience in teaching or research. The requirement equally acceptable is the Ph.D. Degree in the concerned disciplines.

AGE LIMIT:

FOR FOOD SECURITY OFFICER: The maximum age limit for this job is 33 years of age.  The relaxation in the age is well acceptable from the candidates as per the rules and the regulations.

FOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER: Candidates who are applying for this post must be 33 years of age and not be exceeding more than that. The relaxation in the age is given  to the candidates with the community of the reserved.

FOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: Candidates applying for this post must not be exceeding the age of 45 years. Relaxation will be provided for the candidates who are from reserved quota. 

SALARY STRUCTURE

FOR FOOD SECURITY OFFICER: Rs. 9,300 – Rs. 34,800/- Grade pay Rs. 4,400/-

FOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER: The pay scale for this post is Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/- with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-.

FOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: Candidates who have applied for this post must be giving a handsome salary of Rs.15,600-39,100/-pm

HOW TO PREPARE FOR MPSC EXAMS?
